Thoroughly clean guest cabins daily as requested by the Hotel Manager.Weekly inventories are required to be completed and submitted to the corporate office. Inventory, ordering, and product rotation of all bar and gear shop items.Work closely with the Hotel Manager to implement the onboard beverage-training program.Input and track bar and gear shop sales via the onboard POS system.Work with the Hotel Manager to ensure that CDC/FDA standards are consistently met. Maintain cleanliness of the lounge, bar, and gear shop, as well as general cleaning of the vessel as needed.Function as the primary bartender on board - mixing and pouring a wide array of cocktails, spirits, beers, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.Throughout the season, and especially during start-up and shut-down periods, the Bartender may be tasked with setting up systems and SOPs, contacting vendors, and putting the bar together after its winter lay-up. On some vessels, this position requires use of Microsoft Office, and tracking guest shipboard accounts through a restaurant POS system.
The Bartender will also assist in the dining room for meal service or with housekeeping as assigned. The Bartender is responsible for preparing cocktails, assisting in the management of the beverage program, inventory and ordering control, maintaining a clean and organized bar and lounge, and beverage training and development of hotel staff.
